Today, I voted against approving a journal of the Congressional record to prevent some irresponsible remarks from becoming part of the official log of comments made on the House floor. Yesterday, a Democrat lawmaker unfortunately compared his party's presidential nominee to Jesus Christ. Additionally, he alluded that Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is akin to Pontius Pilate. Today marks the seventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks. That day will be recorded as one of the most tragic and horrific in the history of our nation; a day when we once again lost our innocence. On that morning, every American woke up to a new kind of terror and a life forever changed.
