Petraeus Petition Gains Support

Last week, Mike started an online petition to preempt General Petraeus testimony on Capitol Hill. The purpose of the petition is support the General Petraeus, the troops and recognize the progress in Iraq and vigilant for victory. 2,000 people have signed the petition to date and blogs across the country are supporting the petition. We will keep you updated throughout the week as the petition continues to garner support.

Mike wins 100% in Primary

Mike was able to seal 100% of the nomination last night. A huge thanks to everyone who made it out to the polls. Mike now needs you to help him elect more Republicans in Texas and across the nation.
Mike won't be taking this election for granted. He plans to travel across the district and speak to as many people he can about the challenges we face today and in the future.

Oil and gas profits go both ways

Earlier this month, Exxon-Mobil once again announced record profits. These record profits, $40.7 billion to be exact, have been labeled ìoutlandish,î ìunjustifiable,î ìappallingî and ìruthlessî by many in Congress. They believe that such profits gouge the American consumer and are consequently immoral.

Yet what many people do not realize is that record profits result in record tax collection. Exxon-Mobil will pay close to $30 billion in taxes for its success. Unfortunately, not one of my Democratic colleagues has called upon Congress to give American taxpayers back the federal governmentís share of Exxonís ìimmoralî profits. Read More»
