WASHINGTON - Today, National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Reynolds (NY-26) announced the selection of freshman U.S. Rep. Mike Conaway (TX-11) to the NRCC's Executive Committee for the 2006 election cycle. In this capacity, Conaway will be instrumental in developing and implementing the Republican Party's strategy to grow its majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.
"We are pooling together all the essential ingredients for a successful 2006 election cycle, and are pleased to have Mike Conaway on board with this effort and bringing his formidable leadership and political skills to help us achieve our goals," said Reynolds.
"During his recent campaign and tenure in Congress thus far, he has proven to be a valuable asset to Texas' Eleventh District, our conference and the American people.
"With Mike Conaway leading our election efforts, we are well on our way to a successful 2006," added Reynolds.
