Suzanne and I would like to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. We hope you find time to spend the holiday with family and enjoy one of my favorite American traditions.

I recently returned home from Washington, D.C., and this Thanksgiving I am thankful for more than being at home with my family.

I am thankful that, even during these challenging times, we still live in the greatest country on earth.

Please join me on this day of thanks in praying for our country and thanking the brave men and women in the military who protect our freedoms.

I share many of his opinions - the so-called "Big Three" automakers need restructuring to once again become competitive in the marketplace, and I do not believe a handout from the American taxpayers will accomplish that.

I'm back in Washington this week to prepare for the 111th Congress. As you probably heard, the Democrats had planned to pass legislation that would provide a bailout to the automobile industry in the form of new, low-interest loans using the financial stabilization money that was passed in October.

America has been blessed to have these brave men and women make sacrifices to serve in the armed forces. Whether they served during war or peacetime, on active duty or in the Reserves, on the home front or abroad, these patriots all deserve our respect and gratitude.

Republicans Remain Strong in Texas

There is an overlooked Republican success story right here in Texas when it comes to this election. The Texas Congressional delegation gained a Republican seat in this election. This is overshadowed by the Democratic gains in Congress, which came in other states.
