Bailout

Thank you to all of you who signed your names and left comments regarding the auto bailout. With strong Democratic majorities in both houses of Congress and Barack Obama's presidency on the horizon, it is more important than ever that we speak out against an overreaching government.
As many of you know, the auto bailout failed in the Senate, sparing the taxpayers from supporting bad business. In the end, Chapter 11 bankruptcy should allow these firms to emerge stronger and more nimble while keeping most of the jobs.

Last night the Democrats collected enough votes in the House pass legislation that bails out our nation's top three car companies, and that's a shame. A handout from the American taxpayer will only waste money and postpone the difficult decisions the "Big Three" must make. The best option for these companies right now is bankruptcy so that they can reorganize and emerge stronger, healthier businesses. Click Here to Read the Rest of This Post»

I want to share with you an insightful piece Mitt Romney wrote for the New York Times. I share many of his opinions - the so-called "Big Three" automakers need restructuring to once again become competitive in the marketplace, and I do not believe a handout from the American taxpayers will accomplish that.
